MS has created a VS Online site. I think that's where GIT repositories are
stored - you'll have to check as I do not use GIT.

Subject: [dba-VB] Where are we discussing .Net?

I just installed VS 2013 community on a VM that I will use as my ned dev
environment. When I opened a new project it automatically offered to use
source control and GIT. When I chose GIT it automatically created a new GIT
repository.

How cool is that.

I was under the impression however that GIT required a "server"
(service) running. Did VS also set that up and turn it on?
