[dba-SQLServer] DTS question

Hi all

I am a little confused about where exactly DTS packages run.

Do they run on the SQL Server machine or do they run on the machine where I
use EM?
And does it make a difference, if I use EM or call the packages from within
my Access FE (using the DTS Package library)?
