In case you haven't already noticed, a new cross-platform editor for ASP.NET 5 and Node.js is in preview:

It claims to support 30+ languages including JavaScript, C#, C++, PHP, Java, HTML, R, CSS, SQL, Markdown, TypeScript, LESS, SASS, JSON, XML, and Python as well as many other common file formats:

Further, it has integrated git support for the most common commands.
