[AccessD] Replication - how can I tell if indirect occurring

I've run a acouple of replicated environments here at work so may be able to
help.

First and most important question:
How often do you *need* the data to be synched to your master?

Secondly:
What availabilty do you have for a consistent network connection between
replicas, and are you willing to maintain it?
