Charlotte,

I was hoping to use Access user security, but it sounds like you've answered
my question.

Are you talking about using Access security or your own version? Access
security checks before you ever are allowed to open the database, so where
had you intended to put the logic for this?

Subject: [AccessD] Logging In

Hello to all,
I would like to be able to trap for the situation when a user tries to log
in with a user name and password, but enters the wrong password 3 or more
times in a row. Is this possible in Access? Is this possible in SQL/MSDE?

Thanks,
Dan Waters
