[AccessD] Visual Basic 6 (temp files)

To all,

I have been working with Visual Basic 6 for around 18 months now and have noticed that VB temp files get placed virtually anywhere, so a couple of stupid questions to follow......

1.  Are these temp files really required ?
2.  If they are, is there anyway to put them in a specific directory ?
