If you are using access security you could set the table to read-only
that way...

Unless there is an index on the table it's going to be read only by
default.

Subject: [AccessD] Read-Only Linked ODBC Table?

Is it possible to use a linked table from a SQL Server
2000 db in an Acc97 front end and make the linked table
read only? Seems to me that should be pretty simple to do,
but I can't seem to find any information on how to do it.
I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious.

Thanks,

Ron
