It's tempting to say that anything that fights spammers is worthwhile, but I wonder if handing them millions of bogus email addresses will not just increase the volume of email traffic on the net. True the email won't arrive anywhere, but the data still has to move, and will probably generate more mail back to the spammers when they get the "undeliverable" notices.
