[AccessD] CallerID code

I have been exploring the possibility of using callerid code that I 
can monitor my incoming phone calls.  I found a very simple freeware 
program called Phonetray which keeps a log of incoming calls, and has 
an address book in Excel.  I am interested in trying to write code 
using VBA to use my own address book from Access.  Does anyone know 
where I can find code or information on how to capture information 
from a modem?  By having this info, I can then automatically pop onto 
the screen information about the customer.
