On the theory that there's some difference in the combo box that you dropped
into the original XP mdb and the combo box that you create in A2K3, I wonder
what would happen if you deleted the box and re-created it on the A2K3
system?

Subject: [AccessD] Combo Box not Autocompleting

Group,

I have developed a simple database in Access XP (One table, one
form). On the form is a combo box that shows all the records on the
form. The bound field is a number (long)

When I start entering a number the combo box auto completes it with
the first match from the list.

When I copy the database to another computer with Access 2003 on it
(mu client's computer) the combo box does not auto
complete. Entering a full number and pressing the enter key returns
an error message "The Text entered is not an item on the
list". However, I can scroll down the actual list and select the item.

Has anyone come across this and have a fix?

Regards
