On the theory that there's some difference in the combo box that you dropped into the original XP mdb and the combo box that you create in A2K3, I wonder what would happen if you deleted the box and re-created it on the A2K3 system? On the form is a combo box that shows all the records on the form. The bound field is a number (long) When I start entering a number the combo box auto completes it with the first match from the list. When I copy the database to another computer with Access 2003 on it (mu client's computer) the combo box does not auto complete. Entering a full number and pressing the enter key returns an error message "The Text entered is not an item on the list". However, I can scroll down the actual list and select the item. Has anyone come across this and have a fix?
