Getting a % of the sales is a whole lot better than what I got when I co-authored a book. I got a whole $660 per chapter for the 2 chapters that I wrote. Teach Yourself Access 97 in 21 Days I wrote the chapters on database design and relationships. (3 and 5) It was the first and last time that those 2 chapters were included in the 21 Days books. Too bad because that is the cornerstone of development. I have been thinking about writing one about SQL Server basics and publishing it as an ebook/PDF myself on my WeBeDb.com site. Anyone interested? Would any of you buy it for say $20 as a subscription where you could keep downloading it and all the updates/changes/additions to it?
