Good question, Shamil.  I don't think so, and of course that has fueled
the "VSS is junk" argument.  Personally, I've never had problems with
VSS aside from the kind of problems you also get occasionally with SQL
Server or any other server product.  I'm for whatever works, it isn't a
big emotional issue for me.
