I don't think so. If it weren't for VBA in Word and Excel, I wouldn't
be here. I wouldn't ahve had the confidence to tackle a DB if I didn't
have the experience writing code in Word and Excel first.

True, but that application doesn't have to be Access, it can be Word
or Excel or VB or any app that can get data from the Jet engine.
