But shouldn't the OS report that the file is in use and not allow you to open it if someone else already has it open? It is getting publicity because WHS is selling and people who did not understand the issues and tried to share files that simply can't be shared. For example the Outlook file will corrupt if you share it and try to edit it from more than one location. It doesn't matter where you store it (shared) it will corrupt if stored on Windows XP share or a Windows 3000 share or a Windows Vista share. It just isn't legal.
