Hi Erwin First, applause for the research or whatever method that led to this finding. Second: Briefcase? I believed that was dead and gone with Windows 95. Does it still exists and for what purpose?. I fail to recall any example of a practical use for this. And what is that with mdb files at "the record level"? Isn't that what replication is about? What is the issue here that makes you prefer to copy the complete file? Lots of questions ... /gustav >>> Erwin.Craps at ithelps.eu 22-01-2007 10:35 >>> For your information: Just installed Office 2007 and apparently 2007 uses a different key for the Briefcase Reconciler. As I don't like using any Access database synchronisation when using briefcase to take MDB files with me on my laptop. Access 200-2003 HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CC2C83A6-9BE4-11D0-98E7-00C04FC2CAF5} Access 2007 HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{FE9CDADA-F510-49E7-B176-A2304EF2901D} Removing this key will avoid the Briefcase converting MDB files to synchronised (record level) files and just copies them normaly. I hope I saved some people time with this :-) Erwin Craps Zaakvoerder
