On my way to a 2 hour meeting, but I do have a couple of questions..... What is the area that is bordered? Text Box, Paragraph, table? Would the merge field be in the area to be coloured? I am assuming that you want to keep all your code in Access, correct? PS, since this is Mail Merge, you'll probably get a better answer from someone else, 'cause I don't use mm very often. Oh who's kidding who, I don't do much any more besides sit in meetings. <sigh> -- Bryan Carbonnell - carbonnb at gmail.com Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "What a great ride!"
