Susan, Some R/DBMS systems have the ability to verify the database structure separately from anything else. Access/JET doesn't really have this. C&R does verify and will try to repair if it can, but it won't tell you anything about what didn't verify. The repair simply fails. C&R is not a verify utility in the typical sense.
