[AccessD] VMWare vm NIC no longer works

The odd part is that the NIC reports receiving and sending hundreds of 
thousands of packets, while simultaneously reporting that it doesn't 
even have an IP address.  Manually assigning an IP address does not good 
in terms of allowing contact with the real world.

What a PITA.
