Drew, All that you say makes sense and I can understand it and all that. I understand the arguments about power users and newbies etc etc. What I cannot understand is the logic which puts "commonly.frequently" used tools on different ribbons. If I am designing a Form, I want my frequently used Format objects to be just above the form and the frequently used Alignment objects there too - not on a different Ribbon because Higher Command have decreed that "all Format objects to go on the Format Ribbon" "all Alignment objects to go on the Alignment Ribbon" anybody who disagerees will be ignored. By order of Higer Command. Oh, and a bunch of other stuff. The reason I and I suspect people like me who have been programmig for decades is that never before have we had the same essential functionality hidden behind layes of Gloss and Makeup. If they wanted to spend big bucks on something that I would like, let them put the OS on a eprom with flash burn options. Instant bootup and negative virus attacks. And, as somebody else said, give "US" the power to switch modes from Lipstick to Slapstick. Lipstick gets the gal her guy Slapstick on the other hand has people rolling the the aisles laughing with frustration waiting for the guys in the white coats to carry them off. Bet this msg hits its limits and goes to the moderator!! Max
