[AccessD] Copying Records

Which is what I did and it turned out to take about 20 minutes to put the
code together - which is probably faster than trying to make the queries
behave.

.. in this case I'm importing header and detail records, so the imported
detail records have to use the PK of the new header records in the target
table as the FK.  

If so, I would use the same method as you currently use. Pure DAO or ADO.
