Now we're getting somewhere. "Enough said." Well, not quite enough. Tell us more. What kind of errors do macros create that can't be handled? Was RE: OT searchinname attachments in outlook2003 1. Error handling. Enough said. 2. Simplicity. There are many things which I need to do in code that can't be done in macros, I don;t want to look in one place for half of my application and somewhere else for the other half - so I do it all in code. 3. Maintainability. It's much easier to search through and edit code modules than it is to search through macros and the actions in them. -- Stuart On 22 Feb 2010 at 16:13, Drew Wutka wrote: > Interesting question Rocky. > > Macros serve their purpose, but if it can be done in code just as > easily, there is no real reason to use a Macro. > > Drew > > -----Original Message----- > From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com > [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Rocky Smolin > Sent: Monday, February 22, 2010 8:42 AM > To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' > Subject: [AccessD] Using macros - good thing or bad?
