Hi John

No, you can let RDP through any network but only if the required ports are open. And that's exactly the trouble; if you are in control it is just to do it, but if some notwork guy is to be convinced he/she may be a show stopper. For good reasons you may say, because the default port of 3389 is one of those that scanners test so on a public network you should adjust RDP to use another port.

I am not sure but RD only works over a VPN and with any vpn you can see and map remote shares.
