[AccessD] How does Access locking work

I found the white paper document out on the internet.

I am trying to discover whether moving a client to an SSD for the BE will help with their speed 
issues.  The lock part, what is weritten to the lock file, how often etc is a poorly understood part 
of the puzzle.
