That kind of thing is frequently caused by an object variable not being released (set to Nothing).

Got any startup code that creates objects of any kind? Database, Recordset, Outlook Message?

Subject: [AccessD] Access Won't Close

Dear List:

My client wanted an email function in his app. No problem - they use Outlook and I had the code already I could crib from another app.

However, now when I exit the app, Access doesn't close - can't close it from the X, have to use the Task Manager.

This happens if I just start the app and click exit from the opening splash screen.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with Outlook (which is open all the time on my box).

And I remember reading about this on the list years ago.

Does anybody know the problem/solution?
