Firefox continues to be volatile in terms of stability and performance. One release, it's great, the next release...awful. And...more telling: there's never a minor release upgrade, it's always like version 7 to 8, never 7.1 to 7.2 for instance. The one huge problem they've been having: plug-ins. The plug-in container on my machine takes up all of a core's processing capacity sometimes. Welcome to the world of "open software".
