[AccessD] property sheets in Access 2010

I am very new to Access 2010, so this I probably has a very simple solution.
 
In form design I highlight a control and hit Alt and Enter (in the property sheet tab of the ribbon)  but no property sheet is displayed
 
It also does not work when I try to get the property sheet for the entire form.
 
Any help appreciated.
