Sorry, Charlotte, not to be clear. As with so many windows' changes
(even back with the horrendous 95), I was there on the front line,
hoping that this time there would be something groundbreaking.

So, yes, I had Win 8 and within the last few weeks, a fortnight
perhaps. came news of the 8.1 upgrade. However, although the upgrade
began on the machine each time I tried, soon an error message appeared
to say it had failed.
