[AccessD] Windows 8.1

Hello Jim
I think this was the website where it began -
http://techtalk.pcpitstop.com/2013/10/17/windows-8-1-now-available/?win81=

It had been recommended around the middle of last month. This led to
the 8.1 upgrade. As mentioned, the one machine it's safely installed
on is my laptop. So I attempted several times to upgrade online, from
the free upgrade. Each time it started well and began the process, but
before long an error message showed to say that the upgrade had
failed. It offered no explanation.

8 works ok on the laptop, but I can't see any improvement on Windows
7. If I (crazily) hadn't followed my old habit since 3.1 of trying to
upgrade on the very day a revised OS was offered, I don't think I
would have been tempted by 8. I've regretted it since, I confess -
especially as I lost my PC through it.

Hope this helps, Jim.

All the best
paul
