Gary,

I had not thought about anti-virus software getting into the act. I
will investigate.

I have done a compact and repair.

The accdr file is the exact same file for both the Server and the
stand-alone PC.

Thanks,
Brad

Is there anti-virus software running on the server that might be
scanning the Access file as it's running? perhaps something with the
exceptions list to exclude the Access file data type was changed? Have
you tried a compact and repair on the copy of the access database
running on the server?

Just tossing some things out there.
