  That is such an excellent point!

  How often I've heard "It just needs to do this".  But then it's "and oh
this, and this, and that too".

  It's never simple, which is something Microsoft still doesn't get with
Access.   They keep trying to "dumb it down" for the end user, but even the
"simplest" of apps are far beyond what most end users are capable of doing
well.

Lovely story! Reminds me of happenings when I worked with four fellow
students at the technical university with audio engineering trying to
achieve what others meant wasn't possible within that short timeframe we
often had.

That said, time has learnt me (Susan, are you listening?) that there is no
such thing as a simple database application. It may appear simple in its
core, but all the bells and whistles that add up to an application are so
much more.
