They can and they will.
But many like that; they even use Google’s DNS servers, 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, which means that their complete browsing histories are stored directly in Google’s monster database.

I like having all my emails on their drive so if I'm traveling I can get to
them on my ipad. If I use Outlook but leave my emails on Google's drive,
can't they still track me?
