Re the 2010 usage -
Definitely dangerous to your users, and all those who their systems connect to

Some "exploits" that MS have dealt with in later versions include security openings built in, or accessible via facilities in files such as the .dll's that could have been used by processes and calls in front-end facilities supplied as machine code ( compiled) modules.

So - even doing such things as running apps in a sandbox environment may leave the system open to intrusion - especially if whatever is in the sandbox is connecting through the web to other systems.

Still not available in current versions of Access. Seems like a good candidate to put on the feedback portal (https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/818e3b49-e61b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472)

Also, obligatory reminder that Office 2010 is completely out of support and is no longer receiving security updates. You and your clients should move to a more recent version of Office.

I considered that ploy, having used to to advantage on single forms. But this is a continuous form, so I thought to use conditional formatting which would have worked except...Problem here is that in Access 2010 (which I still develop in to avoid reference conflicts when developing in a later version than my client) conditional formatting (which I need to use because it's a continuous form) does not provide a visible/invisible option.
Although I think later versions of Access do.
