[dba-SQLServer] Running Sprocs using a batch file that is then executed in aNetwork Job Scheduler

Not sure if this helps but would you consider using the SQL Server Agent to 
schedule and execute the stored procedure?  The interface to create a SQL 
Server Agent Job is quite straightforward and it can write entries into the 
Event Log upon successful/failure.
