[dba-SQLServer] limit to records?

Anybody know what the limit would be using an identity column -- eventually,
the identity column's going to hit a ceiling, right?

Microsoft says it's only limited by the amount of available storage, but
somewhere else they say that a file can't be larger than 32 tb.
