[dba-SQLServer] Installing SQL Server 2000 over XP

Hello List -

Bill Pang's response raised another issue for me.

Is it possible to upgrade the existing developer edition (thanks for 
the clarification Robert)  to the standard edition without removing 
and re-installing?
It is intended that we only have the/a single installation of SQL 
Server on this hardware.
