[dba-Tech] Windows Digital Right Management Software

Does anybody know  anything about Microsoft "Digital Right Management Software" (DRM).  The Chinese distributor is suggesting it for copy protection in China.  Is it good?  Effective?  What's the downside?  Is it hard to use and manage?  What problems does it create for the user?

Any info will be appreciated.
