Bryan: I would think it would be just the opposite - the close to 1:1 the less distortion you'd get. On all my other monitors the 1.3 ratio - 1024x768, 600x800 - displays OK. Hey! I just tried the highest res - 1280x800 which is 1.6 and it's okay. Everything's square.
