Bobby: Zip and rename work. I routinely use that sending stuff to Los Alamos and Intel. (Great security system, huh?). But I'm not worried about a malicious mdb. It would be convenient if I didn't have to go back to a client and ask them to zip or rename (for some of them, that's a major project.)
