[dba-Tech] Weird PC logon problem

Got a weird one for you
 
I have a pc that won't let anyone log onto it. At all. Either connected to
the network or not. When you try, it says "The domain ALCONTROLUK cannot be
found". Normally, if you can't get on to the network, it'll still log you on
with old cached credentials, providing you use the correct old password,
like laptops do when they're at home - this one won't.  
 
I've unplugged it from the network to see if I can get it to expire it's IP
address or something, and I'm going to leave it a couple of days before I
plug it back in, but I was wondering if anyone had seen anything like it
before and could offer any suggestions?
