Ack. Prefer not to do that to HAL9004 my primary P4 box (It was the PII, HAL9000, that died). HAL9001, the P3 is my music machine - all the mp3 stuff, good speakers - & I wonder if I'll get the same sound quality. Little reluctant to disrupt that box.. HAL 9002, my old primary machine, is a P4 which is now Max's and I suppose I could monkey with that. Except that now that he's in high school he's up studying late, just when I want to play. I've also got a COMPAQ laptop with crappy little internal speakers. Wonder if it'll play on that? There is a DOS compatibility feature and I tried that already to no avail. And the reason I think it has to do with the sound is that when I configure it to run with the internal speaker it runs fine but there's no real sound. And in that game the sound is very important. Maybe I can find an old W98 machine around here for real cheap. But I keep thinking there's gotta be a way to get it to run on the P3 or P4.
