My bil travels across the border with no problems. Now, he's a truck driver 
and I doubt he's taking a laptop, but they're not making a big deal of 
searching his cargo or anything.

I have to be honest with you Jim -- I seriously doubt that they have the 
manpower to search every laptop coming into the states.
