I've never used field codes, wouldn't even know where to start debugging
them. Time to step aside and let someone more qualified help you!

I'm using field codes not formulas in the way you think. :)

{ = { REF NoList } - {SEQ list \* MERGEFORMAT}}



where NoList is a bookmarked value.



This field code lets me generate a list of descending values for a list. It
works great, but I'm stuck with that bookmarked value. Even if I tuck it in
an out of the way place, it still prints.
