Hi Helmuth That's a good solution. Problem here is that our major ISP, TDC, supplies a "free" router to the customer. This is locked down, however, and to change anything like opening a port, a request must be send to TDC who charges about 140 to make the change. /gustav >>> hkotsch at arcor.de 28-05-2009 18:55 >>> Teamviewer is also available in "DANSK". For my business I use UltraVNC. As you know I have only one customer site to support so the setup with firewalls was an one time effort. I have a 24/7 connection using Netways from AVM wich provides a secure VPN. Should mention that the "Remote Support" of Windows XP and Vista seems to work but is rather slow and does require more user intervention. But the price is right. /gustav >>> hkotsch at arcor.de 28-05-2009 17:49 >>> For occasional and ad hoc use I use http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx Very reliable, easy to use, no firewall problems and free for personal use. Well, the user has to download the client and give you the user-ID and password. Hi all This product for remote support (the user calls the support) is somewhat expensive for ad hoc use: https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/HelpDesk/Home.aspx?home=2&lang=en Any proven alternatives? Must be able to get through firewalls. /gustav
