[dba-Tech] Junk in the Registry

Interesting article (I assume that Firefox is using the same keys?) but
doesn't say what happens if I mass delete al those keys.  Many of them no
longer link to active sites.  A couple I tried link to dangerous sites.

Storing *everything* in the Registry was one of the biggest mistakes MS ever
made.

I've never gone along with the concept.  My applications use INI files in
the application 
directory for all common settings and  files in   %AppData\Local\myAppName
for user 
specific settings if necessary. 

Your History Registry folder is  used by IE. See
