I got a Seagate-FreeAgent Desk 500GB External USB 2.0 Hard
Drive-Silver-ST305004FD for about $100 at Best Buy. I've been using it for
daily backups since April with no problems. I use the included backup
software to back up MyDocuments and MyPictures and a couple other
directories that are located elsewhere. I have it back up automatically at
10:00am every day and do not notice any slowdown or interference with
whatever else I'm doing at the time.
