I got a Seagate-FreeAgent Desk 500GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive-Silver-ST305004FD for about $100 at Best Buy. I've been using it for daily backups since April with no problems. I use the included backup software to back up MyDocuments and MyPictures and a couple other directories that are located elsewhere. I have it back up automatically at 10:00am every day and do not notice any slowdown or interference with whatever else I'm doing at the time. -- Kathryn Rhinehart Bassett (Pasadena CA) "Genealogy is my bag" "GH is my soap" kathryn at bassett.net http://bassett.net > -----Original Message----- > From: dba-tech-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:dba-tech- > bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Susan Harkins > Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2009 7:39 AM > To: DBA Tech List > Subject: [dba-Tech] External hard drive > > I'm going to buy an external hard drive -- should've done it a long > time > ago. > > Any recommendations?
