If not too old - typically that means a CPU at 500+ MHz - you should be able to donate it to charity. That's what we do.

Ha ha... I have many friends who would agree with him... I have a friend son
who made a video on "The 10 best uses for my PCs"; from boat anchors, door
stops, foot stools, target practice etc... I will see if he still has the
tape and post a link it here.
