OS: Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. Now and then I run into a problem when trying to install some package. I'm told I must run it as Administrator. My normal login is Arthur, who has Admin privileges. So I don't understand what the problem is. There's no icon for Administrator so I don't know how to log in as him. On the particular file I'm trying to install (the latest Apache from the MSI file), when I right-click, there's no option for "Run as Administrator." During the installation, I am asked for domain. I don't have a registered DNS. Can I enter just anything? I am also asked for server name. I have been entered my ID address. Is that correct? Then I get this error message in a CMD window: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0 No listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs For the moment, I've uninstalled the program. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. -- Arthur Cell: 647.710.1314 Prediction is difficult, especially of the future. -- Niels Bohr
