Hi All: The new BitTorrent Sync application runs on all major platforms and a few Smartphone OSs. Its data transfer speed is unsurpassed, it can transfer any size file or quantity...only limited by the destination resources and adds full 20 character AES encryption if required. http://labs.bittorrent.com/experiments/sync.html 1. Features syncs through mutiple stations symaltaneously and is muti-threas driven so it is very fast...it can sync at ten times the speed as just copying or backing up. 2. Does versioning on file changes depending on the config file settings. 3. Syncs accross the internet but the UNC or IP address must be static. 4. Syncs from server, to stations, to smart phones. 5. Provides a 20 character encryption key for security (Encrypting can be turned off if speed is an issue and/or it is safe to do so.) It has public keys, private keys and single use, time sensitive keys 6. No external server is required. 7. It can replace all of the Cloud, DropBox, Cubby and the like if only file synchronization is the requirement.
