Hi Arthur, Here is a good article on Windows 7 backup, which is much improved over previous Windows versions. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/1838/using-backup-and-restore-in-windows-7/ You can now create a complete system image with it. About my only complaint with W& backup is there is no auto management of the backup space. If your backup drive runs out of space it will fail. You must remember to go in and manage the space occasionally. (I have been searching for methods to build a script to do this but have not found any leads on how to do it. If you find something please let me know.) I've backed up my main drive several times before, but now when I try to do it, Windows 7 tells me it's not installed, and that to install it I should go to Control Panel and select Install and from there select it and it will install. But I can't find it in the list. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I looked in Windows Features. Can anyone help me find it? -- Arthur Cell: 647.710.1314 Prediction is difficult, especially of the future. -- Niels Bohr _______________________________________________ dba-Tech mailing list dba-Tech at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/dba-tech Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
