At the end of the day employees will use whatever the employer puts in front
of them. The key here is working with the employees to manage the change.
They have a reduced budget and this is one of the easier options. I am sure
they could have cut a lot of stuff before pay cuts. Makes it easier to push
through when you equate it to pay cuts (<:

It seems in some municipalities, they are forcing their employees to not use
Microsoft Office, by saying either use an open source equivalent or take a
pay cut. In other words, employees may have start paying for their own
software.
